  Drive via old town of Zemun to the plain of Vojvodina. Short stop in romantic town of Sremski Karlovci, famous for the peace treaty signed here in 1699 (a walk around the main square). Upon arrival in Novi Sad, capital of the autonomous Province of Vojvodina, panoramic city tour and visit to the medieval Petrovaradin castle above the Danube, one of the best preserved fortifications on this part of Europe. Return to Belgrade. Note: The sights are ideally located on the route to Budapest.
